You will be competent in desktop and mobile personal computer hardware installation and repairs, audio visual technologies such as projectors, switches, visualizers and have a broad understanding of basic networking.
You will have expertise in installing, configuring and repairing desktop and mobile personal computer hardware. You will also have knowledge and experience of audio-visual technologies such as projectors, switches, visualizers and a broad understanding of basic networking.
You will be expected to work independently and to advise and assist less experienced members of the team when called upon, so the ability to work unsupervised is therefore essential. You will be part of a busy team providing support for all University sites across the city, so will be expected to work from one of several support hubs on a rota basis, visiting other University buildings as required to provide assistance, often at short notice and with challenging response time targets. A full UK driving licence is required.
In return, we offer an excellent benefits package including generous annual leave entitlement, pension scheme, induction and development support as well as family-friendly policies.
This is an exciting time to join the university as we deliver the LJMU Strategy 2030 and its vision of LJMU as an inclusive civic university transforming lives and futures, by placing students at the heart of everything we do.
If you feel that this is the role you have been looking for and your skills and experience can make a real difference at LJMU, we look forward to hearing from you.
