Residential Assistants - ringfenced to current LJMU students
Could you be a Residential Assistant?
Residential Assistants are employed to assist with new LJMU students living in accommodation. They are first point of contact for new students who have concerns about their accommodation or any other aspects of their lives.
Residential Assistants help students settle in to their new home, feel comfortable in Liverpool and at LJMU and assist with any problems students might experience whilst in their accommodation.
Residential Assistants are a friendly face offering peer support and signposting to the various University, Student Union and external services that are available to help students address the difficulties they may face.
You should have experience of living in Student Hall Style Accommodation
Residential Assistant Positions will be available at the following locations in 2018/2019
Glassworks VITA Student Marybone Student Village
Liberty Atlantic Point Byrom Point Liberty Gardens
Albert Court Cambridge Court The Arch
Grand Central Agnes Jones House Europa
St.Lukes View Grenville Street
To apply to be a Residential Assistant you must fulfil the following criteria:
- Be a current LJMU student, who will also be a student in 2018/2019
- Have experience of and be living in one of the listed sites or Liverpool City Centre
- Be available for compulsory training in Liverpool in early September
- Be available to work on a full-time basis from September 13th and into Semester 1 (in line with your timetable). Hours will decrease after the initial two weeks.
