Research Support Officer in Psychology (0.5 FTE) Fixed term for 6 months

The School of Psychology at Liverpool John Moores University [LJMU] seeks to appoint a 0.5FTE Research Support Officer. Under supervision you will work within specified research grants and/or QR funded projects, to undertake research, conducting and recording the outcome of experiments and conducting literature and database surveys. You will provide administrative support and contribute to the preparation of results for internal/external audiences. The role will also include supporting REF co-ordinators in developing/maintaining REF data, providing administrative support, organising and supporting REF meetings or workshops.
This post provides the opportunity to join our dynamic team at an exciting time for LJMU. The School has over 80 staff, a thriving and vibrant research culture and outstanding teaching and research facilities. The vast majority of our staff are research active. We submitted over 42 FTE staff to REF2021, increased our Research Power (from 27 in 2014 to 76 in 2021) and were ranked 37 out of 93 Institutions for Research Power. We anticipate a larger submission to the next REF. Staff in the department currently hold substantial research grants from funders including Euro EU Chanse, Wellcome, NIHR, ESRC, BA, NHS Trusts, and a range of charitable organisations. Since REF2021, the school has produced over 700 publications and almost 6000 citations, reflecting the value and reach of our scholarly output.
The Research Centre for Brain and Behaviour https://www.ljmu.ac.uk/research/centres-and-institutes/research-centre-for-brain-and-behaviour brings together research in the department under four main themes: Neuroscience, Health and Wellbeing, Forensic Psychology and Cognition, Education and Language.
The School operates a hybrid working policy. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individuals with a BSc in Psychology or a related discipline, research experience and can demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
