The role of Head of Innovation and Enterprise combines strategic leadership and operational oversight across ‘Health, Technology and Science’ Enterprise, Innovation and Commercial Activity. You will drive innovation, external engagement, and income generation and diversification initiatives, while fostering partnerships and supporting the faculty’s strategic goals relating to enterprise and innovation.

You will lead the development and implementation of Knowledge Exchange activities, including enterprise and innovation developments, cultivating external partnerships, supporting bid writing and consultancy efforts, and contributing to the faculty’s commercial and grant income growth. The role requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to align market demands with academic strengths.

You will possess a doctoral qualification or demonstrate a strong record in innovation and enterprise development and delivery, have experience of working in an academic environment, business engagement, and policy analysis. Experience of working outside of academic settings in public and/or private sectors is desirable. Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills are essential, along with the ability to build strategic partnerships and respond to changing priorities.
