We are now seeking to appoint a Deputy Finance Director. This is a key role within the finance senior leadership team reporting directly to the Finance Director, deputising as required and with responsibility for a team of circa 20 staff. 

The role is responsible for: 

  • provision of financial business partnering for faculties and professional services
  • financial decision support and strategic analysis
  • production of long, medium, and short-term financial forecasts
  • providing a value-adding financial reporting suite for the University

You will:

  • be a CCAB qualified accountant with a good first degree along with significant post-qualification experience at a senior level in a complex organisation
  • have a proven track record of value-adding financial business partnering, with proven relationship management skills and the ability to influence performance and direction
  • have strong people management skills with the ability to lead, motivate and engage large teams
  • be able to contribute at a strategic level beyond the finance function.
