Join our dynamic School of Nursing and Advanced Practice at LJMU as a Degree Apprenticeship Facilitator. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our growing degree apprenticeship programmes, helping students achieve their professional ambitions while driving forward the school's academic excellence.

As a Degree Apprenticeship Facilitator, you will play a key role in the delivery and success of degree apprenticeship programmes at Levels 5, 6, and 7. Working closely with learners and programme teams you will support academic, administrative, and compliance activities, ensuring the quality of our apprenticeship offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with students and employers to deliver degree apprenticeship programmes and ensure compliance with apprenticeship standards.
  • Support learning activities such as work-based placements, mentoring, assessments, and reviews.
  • Act as a personal tutor and academic assessor for apprentices, providing pastoral and academic support.
  • Contribute to programme and curriculum development, including ensuring high-quality data for apprentice tracking.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on research, knowledge exchange activities, and curriculum updates.
  • Provide coaching support and assist in preparing apprentices for their End Point Assessments.
  • Ensure all administrative duties and compliance requirements are completed efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Essential:
    • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) UK.
    • Honours degree and experience delivering apprenticeship education.
    • Coaching qualification (Level 3 or higher) or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
    • Experience in teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate levels and managing relationships with employers.
    • Strong organisational skills and a commitment to providing high-quality pastoral care.
    • Experience with specialist software to support the apprenticeship process.
    • Commitment to LJMU’s values, including equality and diversity.
  • Desirable:
    • Higher Education teaching qualification.
