The School of Nursing and Advanced Practice has been established to enhance the focus on undergraduate and postgraduate nursing and advanced multidisciplinary practice. Situated in the Faculty of Health, the School plays a key role in the development of the current and future health workforce. The Faculty of Health strives to tackle health inequalities, social exclusion and deprivation in local communities and beyond, through our undergraduate and postgraduate curricula, along with a growing programme of international partnerships and student opportunities. There is a developing culture of multidisciplinary research into post- graduate education and advanced practice poised for additional growth and funding. The School has a long and proud history in nurse education and sector leading postgraduate provision, with a significant portfolio which is increasing each year with various local, regional, and national programmes. The School plays a pivotal role in the Advanced Practice agenda regionally. We are seeking to appoint an outstanding individual as Principal Lecturer in Postgraduate Nursing who can deliver excellent student experience and outcomes and contribute to the strategic and operational needs of the School in this area. Reporting to the Subject Head of Post Graduate Nursing and Advanced Practice you will work alongside Programme Leaders with a key focus on high quality educational provision and responsive curricula. You will provide leadership of curriculum development and enhancement of the portfolio with line management responsibilities for academic staff engaged in teaching, research, and enterprise. Working closely with the Subject Head you will be responsible for the academic development and delivery of high-quality taught programmes in Postgraduate Nursing, including Post registration, CPD and Advanced Practice programmes.

Applicants must hold a postgraduate degree in Nursing and a PhD (or be actively working towards this).
