LJMU is seeking to appoint an Administrator to join our Vice-Chancellor’s Office (VCO), supporting the Engagement Officer in coordinating activities concerning VIPs including Honorary Fellows and events such as Roscoe Lecture Series, and Graduation.  The post is full-time and will also provide administrative support to the Vice-Chancellor & Chief Executive in a shared capacity. The successful applicant will be highly organised with excellent literacy and administrative skills and a clear understanding of confidentiality requirements.

The Administrative Support Officer will be part of the Vice-Chancellor’s Office team, and as part of the VCO will work alongside the Corporate Communications and Stakeholder Relations team to support the Engagement Officer in bespoke arrangements and events for VIPs on behalf of the VCO in Liverpool, London and other parts of the UK, assisting with coordinating and recording related activity as required and will report to the Engagement Officer in Vice-Chancellor’s Office. Previous experience of working with VIPs and Senior Managers is important in this role.

A positive approach with excellent interpersonal/communication skills along with good organisational abilities and attention to detail are essential requirements for the post. You should be capable of prioritising your workload and working to agreed deadlines as required. You should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook. Previous experience working with a Contact Management System is desirable, however training can be provided to the right applicant.
