Our students and staff, past, present, and future, are the beating heart of our city and can be found in every corner of every industry and community. We couldn’t exist anywhere else and have shaped the city in which we belong. Working with the people of Liverpool to improve lives and support communities is at the heart of why we were founded and why we exist today.
The Liverpool Business School is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer or Teaching Fellow in Accounting to contribute to the teaching and learning on its accounting and finance programmes.
With a strong undergraduate cohort and as part of the ongoing development of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within the Business School, this opportunity to join the programme team has arisen.
We are proud to offer a vibrant teaching and learning environment, firmly underpinned by research and scholarship. Our growing portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes is supported by a wide range of local, regional, and international partnerships.
Recently named Business School of the Year (2025) by the Education North Awards, LBS is committed to embedding digital literacy, employability, and internationalisation across all of our programmes.
We are especially proud of our Accounting Clinic, where students gain invaluable experience through preparation of year-end accounts for external organisations. The Clinic works with a wide range of partners across the Liverpool City Region, providing impactful learning experiences and valuable contributions to the business community.
You should have full membership of a professional accounting body (with an accounting qualification). You will be required to develop and deliver teaching in areas such as Management Accounting, Data Analysis and MS Excel. Liaise with businesses and other organisations to connect the research and teaching capability of the Programme to business and/or professional needs. You will also contribute to the pastoral and academic supervision of students.
