Programme Leader Computing
You will be expected to contribute directly to the management and operational support of one or more programmes within the Department and make broad contributions to the academic work of the Department of Computer Science. You will have flexibility in managing and leading a team of academics to deliver quality teaching, research and scholarship in an area relevant to the programmes within the Department. You should additionally be able to engage, both nationally and internationally, in contributions to research and teaching excellence in your own particular area of expertise within Computer Science. As a member of the Department’s management team you will have significant input in to the strategic development of the Department as well as engagement with the management of a relevant programme and its academic direction. You should have direct experience of management in a HE context.
You should have a PhD degree or extensive relevant industrial experience in one of the following areas: Computer Games, Computer Graphics, Computing, Computer Science or a closely related discipline with teaching and research experience and a willingness to support and develop and enhance the student experience within the department.
