We equip our students with the knowledge, practical experience, and industry connections they need to excel, all within a dynamic and research-informed learning environment.

We are currently pursuing AACSB accreditation and are proud signatories of the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME). As holders of the Small Business Charter, we are recognised for our entrepreneurial focus and meaningful engagement with the business community.

What we’re looking for

We are seeking an accomplished academic to make a meaningful contribution to the work of Liverpool Business School and to the development and delivery of its diverse portfolio of business-related degree programmes. The school offers a wide range of programmes across the business disciplines, so flexibility and the ability to lead programmes from across this portfolio are essential. Initially, you will work alongside other Programme Leaders to support and lead the Business Management programme, ensuring an outstanding student experience and academic excellence.

This role combines academic leadership with strategic influence. You will take responsibility for the design and delivery of high-quality programmes of study, lead curriculum development, and ensure effective and efficient teaching across modules. You will also provide research leadership, engaging in high-quality research activity that results in impactful publications and contributes to the school’s growing reputation. In addition, you will lead professional and knowledge exchange activities, foster collaborations, and play an active role in the school’s management and strategic planning processes. Experience of, or extensive knowledge relating to, AACSB accreditation is integral to this role, as is the ability to engage confidently with external stakeholders and professional bodies.

To succeed, you will hold a PhD in a business-related subject and have a sustained track record of teaching and research within your specialism. You will demonstrate a proven ability to conduct high-quality research, reflected in publications or other outputs, and show evidence of a growing national or international reputation with the capacity to attract significant research funding and students. Your experience will include identifying opportunities for research collaboration and forming partnerships that advance knowledge and practice. You will understand how scholarship, research outputs, and professional engagement can inform curriculum development to enhance the student learning experience, and you will have a demonstrable commitment to student engagement and success.

We are looking for someone who can initiate curriculum development and take responsibility for the effective delivery of programmes and modules, alongside the ability to lead initiatives that align with global standards of excellence.
