We are seeking a dynamic and highly organised professional to join our Legal Advice Centre within the Faculty of Society and Culture. You will be a key figure in delivering outstanding service to volunteers, students, members of the public and legal professionals engaging with our Centre. 

Working closely with supervising solicitors, law firm partners and our student volunteers, you will be responsible for triaging client enquiries, supporting the organisation of client interviews, managing case files, and maintaining effective communication with external legal professionals and voluntary organisations. Through your commitment to operational excellence and client care, you will help ensure our service delivery aligns with the University’s broader strategic objectives via a Business Partnering approach. 

Key functions will be working with students to deal with initial client enquiries, triaging cases in a range of clinics with the supervising solicitor, liaising with law firm partners to arrange conflict checks and Clinic rotas, supporting students in the organisation of client interviews and management of case files, liaising with members of the public, the legal profession and voluntary organisations. 

You will be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills, have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail and an ability to work both independently and as part of a team.  You will have previous relevant administrative experience, be capable of working collaboratively with people across the University in a professional manner.  You will have the ability to communicate well both orally and in writing, competency in IT skills, excellent organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team. Experience of dealing discretely with confidential and sensitive information is essential.
