The Sociology programme area sits within the People, Politics and Communication department, part of the School of Humanities and Social Science. You will also offer supervision to a group of undergraduate dissertation students for the duration of the post.  You might also be requested to deliver other teaching input, including seminar work, on the taught undergraduate programme where required. It is expected that you will also deliver the administrative and pastoral support responsibilities of the staff for whom you are covering.  This will include undertaking any additional team marking and moderation duties as required during the employment period and acting as Personal Tutor/Academic Adviser to a group of undergraduate students.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality teaching.
