Academic Engagement Librarian

LJMU Library has a vacancy for a full-time Academic Engagement Librarian. We are seeking an innovative and dynamic individual with a degree or equivalent qualification in Library and Information Management.

You will be based in the Library’s Academic Success team which is responsible for delivering high-quality support in information and digital literacy, academic skills development, and the ongoing enhancement of our library resources — both physical and digital. Duties associated with this role include developing effective relationships with academic staff; delivering information and digital literacy training; handling general and subject enquiries; and contributing to the development and management of learning resources.

You will plan and develop physical and online learning materials. An experienced user of information and communications technologies, you will be able to demonstrate innovative thinking about teaching and learning activities. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.

You will be based at the The Library: Mount Pleasant Campus, supporting subjects from the Faculty of Society and Culture, although this may be subject to change.
